Music: Music 1020

Music 1020, Popular Music in America, is a survey of classical music from the late Romantic period to the present (the twentieth and twenty-first centuries), with introductions to recent forms like jazz, as well. This class will help students understand the fundamental elements of music, understand musical periods and change, and be introduced to the composers who stretched the limits of musical expression.
