Public Administration books will for the most part be found in the Political Science area of the library. However, you may also find many books in Business, Education, and Public Health subject areas:

JC-Political theory
JJ- Political institutions and public administration (North America)
JK- Political institutions and public administration (United States)
JS- Local government
JZ- International relations

Reference Books

  1. Dictionaries, encyclopedias, yearbooks, statistics, and atlases can be found in the Reference Collection on the First Floor. 
  2. To find political science reference books using the Library Catalog, select Advanced Search, type the keyword political science then select Reference Book in the type: window, then click Search.

  • WorldCat.org - use for finding books on your topic in other libraries, then request through Interlibrary Loan.

eBooks

Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary Loan enables current SUU students, faculty, and staff to request books or receive electronic copies of articles that are available from other libraries.

To use Interlibrary Loan, from the library homepage, choose the Research button, then Interlibrary Loan.

  • If you've searched the Library Catalog and discover the SUU library doesn't have the book you need. Book requests will be delivered in approximately one week of request.
  • If you've searched the eJournal Finder for a journal that has an article you want and find that the SUU library dosn't have access to that journal. Articles will be delivered as electronic (pdf) copies to your Interlibrary Loan account, usually within a few days.t.

Google Books

Although Google Books seldom delivers the complete text of a recently-published book, it can be very useful for viewing books' tables of contents and other information.
