Graduate Library Media Endorsement
About
We offer a Graduate Library Media Endorsement. All candidates must have a Utah elementary or secondary teaching degree and license, and receive a passing score on the Praxis II: Subject Assessment Test #5311.
Admission
Students must fill out and turn in the Library Media Application. Students must be admitted to the University and register (registrar's office: (435) 586-7715).
Requirements & Coursework
Eighteen credits are required for graduate licensure and must be completed during the five years prior to application for the license.Twelve credits must be taken through SUU. Below is the outlined coursework for the program.
LM 6100: School Library Media Foundations (1 credit)
LM 6160: Library Computer & Reference Skills (3 credits)
LM 6170: Tech for Library Media Teacher (3 credits)
LM 6180: Utilization of Literature in the Classroom (3 credits)
LM 6190: Managing a Media Center (3 credits)
LM 6200: Library Technical Services (3 credits)
LM 6890: Library Media Practicum (2 credits)
