   Announcement

OCLC Express Library logoThe Sherratt Library is part of OCLC's Express digital delivery program!

The Express program connects us to other high-performing libraries that are committed to delivering copies of articles and other digital resources in less than 18 hours.

We were selected for this program in January 2021 and have been committed to maintaining quality and fast access for our students and faculty to the resources they need during the past year. We proudly display this badge and are happy to be recognized by the Online Computer Library Center (OCLC) as an outstanding supplier of electronic resources.

We look forward to another year of providing fast and exceptional ILL service.

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) requests are not processed during weekends and holidays.  Processing and delivery times will be slower during semester breaks, vacations, and periods of high demand.

What is Interlibrary Loan (ILL)?

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a library service offered by the SUU Sherratt Library that locates and obtains research materials that are not available at our library and may be requested to be loaned from other libraries. Current SUU students, staff, and faculty are encouraged to use this FREE service. Friends of the Library (at the Patron level or higher) and community patrons (who purchase an annual library card) may also use the service.

Materials that can be requested are books, book chapters, journal articles, DVDs, musical scores, etc. All interlibrary loan requests are made via ILLiad.

What is ILLiad?

ILLiad is an automated, paperless online system that enables a user to submit and track their interlibrary loan requests easier and more efficiently. Your login information is the same as your SUU username and password. Users can check the status of requested items, renew items, cancel items and receive email notifications of items as they arrive through this online system.

Journal articles, book chapters, and some reports are delivered electronically through ILLiad. Books, DVDs, musical scores, and other materials are sent in the mail and can be picked up and returned at the main check out desk.

ILL office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Please check Library Hours for exceptions. You can contact the ILL staff in the following ways during office hours:

In Person: Ask for an ILL staff member at the Check Out desk on the first floor.

On the Phone: Call the ILL staff at 435.586.7938

  Email: ill@suu.edu
